Distractions are Detrimental

Updated: May 8, 2025

It's funny the way we become distracted by the same things every time. Most times we don't even notice until we have drifted far enough away from God to feel it almost literally. Often times we don't see when we have stopped praying as much or as deep; we don't realize when we have walked right back into the arms of the thing that we begged God to break us free from. Listen to me the hardest part of this Kingdom walk for me is ensuring that the things that I handed over to God I have not picked back up a short while after. I mean for once I would like that dead thing to remain dead...

For once I would like to not be so easily pulled in a direction opposite from my Abba. But...the being in the world part infers a continuous striving on our part. We are basically fighting a spiritual battle over legality. What do I mean? We are essentially in a territorial war - the enemy is attempting to claim possession over territories that Yah has given to us. By keeping us asleep, or exhausted, he is essentially keeping us distracted from our destinies. If I prevent them from knowing who they are in Christ - their Christ Identity then I keep them from everything this covenant comes with. If I allow them to know it but not walk fully in it then I am keeping them from the power and authority that truly comes with it; the power and authority that will unlock mysteries and provide access to things in the heavenlies. If I continue to distract them with the shiny new toy: car, house, husband, job, promotion, attention, baby, attraction, counterfeit, desire, trauma, hurt etc. then I can continue to control this territory.

The voice of the enemy can sound just as much as our own as the voice of God. Did we fact check this feeling? Did we fact check the command or instructions given? You see there are many of us chosen to be in control of certain territories or might I say communities/cities but because we are too busy (another way the enemy distracts us) we have not been tearing down altars set up, curses pronounced, witches sent out etc. Are we ready for this conversation? I don't know that we are but somebody has to say it. We are steady tackling spiritual matters and situations carnally but the word of God says "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace" - Romans 8:6 so maybe this explains why some believers lack peace? Either way it is not how we are meant to function; this is part of what factors into our separation, being set apart from the world. Yet, distractions...

I pray that we are awakened to a new outlook on life from a spiritual perspective, that we are afforded spiritual foresight and insight, that we are granted spiritual discernment and a deepened awareness to the other forces at play in our everyday life and situations. I pray that we are delivered from distractions and become determined in the things of Yah striving to please Him above all else. I pray that we are given spiritual stamina and endurance to overcome this spirit of busyness and that we are granted balance. I pray that we are able to identify the spirit of the enemy in operation in our lives and what to do about it. I pray that we walk into our coveted land and reclaim it with force - that we live in such a way to not just see the promised land but to inhabit it. I pray that we regain legality over the areas and territories handed to us and that our borders are expanded in due season. All this I pray in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the son of Yah. Amen!

Continue to be well and stay in the will and grace of Yah...remain vigilant and sober minded so you won't miss the movement of Abba in this season or the next. I decree and declare anything being used as a distraction, attempting to exalt itself in the place where Yah resides be set back in its rightful position with immediacy in Jesus's Almighty name. Amen! #blessingsbeauties
